Celebrating our area educators in October, teachers in Tompkins and Cortland Counties are presented with an apple compliments of Cornell University Apple Orchards and Cayuga Radio Group.
# Lite Rock 97.3 listeners were asked to write the station in 100 words or fewer and describe why a certain teacher deserves to be nominated for The Apple for the Teacher Award.
# A panel of judges from our stations choose weekly recipient's letter. Giving credit to the teacher and the nominator.
# Our awards banquet will pay tribute to each of the Apple for the Teacher recipients.
# The teachers will receive a special Apple for the Teacher award, and a grand prize will be drawn from the recipients. A computer and printer will be awarded to that teacher’s school and a laptop for the teacher.
